After some time, Lord Ram and Laxman were on a trip with sage Vishwamitra for some training purposes.
The following morning, sage Vishwamitra received a letter from King Janaka, inviting him to witness his daughter’s Marriage (Swayambar). Vishwamitra gladly accepted his offer and thought to take Ram and Laxman with him as well. With both brothers, sage Vishwamitra started his journey to Janakpur, the kingdom of king Janak. Numerous powerful and well known princes were there. They all were so confident about themselves that they will definitely win this ceremony
Later, king Janaka bought a massive bow, which is said to be the bow of Mahadev Shiva, carried by around 5000 of his soldiers, and put it in front of all the princes. He then announced, “the one who will be able to string the bow and lift it, will get the prestigious chance to marry my daughter.”
Many people tried, but none of them was capable of lifting it. Then sage vishwamitra asked Ram to try. He went towards the bow.
Although all the present audience were laughing and were making fun of him, all of their mouth kept shut when Ram lifted the bow really effortlessly and even broke it into two parts. So directly or indirectly, Ram won the swayamvar and got married to the princess of kosala, Sita.

The Banvaas

King Dashratha, by seeing the bravery and capability of his son, Ram, was about to give all his powers and authority to Ram, Means Ram was going to be the King of Ayodhya or Throne of Ayodhya Kingdom. Even the people of his kingdom were really delighted to have Ram as their king. They all were preparing for the Oath ceremony of Ram. The whole ayodhya felt like it was itself devouring the happiness of Ram being the king. But then something happened and Ram, Sita along with laxman, had to go for Banvaas. What happened and why Ram didn’t become the king?
To know, let’s go to flashback again…………

So a long time ago, when Ram and his brothers were not even born, King Dashratha went on a hunting. During that time he fought a huge battle with demons for invading their space. In this battle, Dashratha was badly injured and was on the stage of death But from nowhere, kaikeyi came and used her skills as a warrior to save king Dashratha from the demons & also by her brilliant sense for medication, she ensured his survival. Being really glad and grateful to kaikeyi, Dashratha promised two boons or wishes to kaikeyi. But at that time, kaikeyi didn’t ask for anything and said she will use these boons when she will great need of them.
So now after a long time, kaikeyi finally asked Dashratha for her two wishes.

One of them was the exile of Ram made him go on 14 years of Banvaas.
Second was the coronation of her son, Bharata.
The king was devastated by her wishes and his mind was shut. He was not able to think about what to do or not. It was not like kaikeyi Haye Ram or something. It was just a motherly love of kaikeyi towards her own son, Bharat. He wanted his son to be the King of this empire.
But later, in the Ramayan, kaikeyi also accepts her mistake and asks for an apology to Ram.
When Ram gets to know about it, he calmly handles the matter and agrees to going on the Banvaas. Sita and Laxman also insisted on going with him. But Even after a nice explanation, Ram had to take both of them with him. So leaving a weep and sobbing people behind, all the three went to the forest far away.

Capture of Sita

Once Ram had gone for hunting caused Sita expressed her desire to bring a beautiful deer she had just seen. So leaving Laxman on the protection of Sita, Ram went to catch that deer. But the deer appeared to be a demon and it started screaming in the voice of Ram. Laxman and Sita heard it and Sita told that to Laxman they need to go and check it. Is he was alright? But Laxman denied her request & saying that he will not go anywhere till Ram comes back because he had been here for Sita’s protection and he will surely do that.
But after a long discussion and After much persuasion from Sita, Lakshmana agreed to go. But he made a line with his bow, said to be the Laxmanrekha & said that not to cross it till he comes back.

Time went on, but none of them came. Later Sita heard the voice of a sage. She came out and saw a sage Asking for some food. Being innocent and kind, she gave some rice to the safe but still inside the line. The sage persuaded her to make out otherwise he won’t take it and will curse her. Being scared she crossed the laxmanrekha. As she did this, the sage transformed into a demon Ravana, the king of demons who was badly obsessed with Sita.
He forcefully took Sita with him to his rath and started flying. Sita was sobbing and shouting for help but there was no one. She dropped her jewelry in the way. But no one came to save her and Ravana took her with him to his palace.

Ram Setu

In the journey of finding Sita, Ram and Laxman met sugriva and his Monkey army (Vanarasena). They said they had seen Sita and also gave Rama her jewellery. They agreed to fight ravana and bring back Sita. Well the result, why sugriv was helping ram is because, Ram had also promised sugriva that he will help him to get back sugriva’s kingdom which was taken by sugriva’s brother. After giving back his kingdom by fighting his brother, sugriva allowed his Army along with Hanuman to help ram in finding Sita. In their journey, they had to stop in front of a large ocean. They were not able to cross the ocean as it was huge. And only after crossing the ocean, was the city of Ravan, which is their destination. This was the time when Ram Setu was built which is present day Palk strait. All the Vanarsena was confused, but by following the idea of hanuman, they took the ocean as it was huge. And only after crossing the ocean, was the city of Ravan, which is their destination.
This was the time when Ram Setu was built which is present day Palk strait. They took all the rocks which were kept on the brim of the ocean, and wrote the word Ram in each rock. Then they threw the rocks in the water and surprisingly or miraculously all the rocks stood still on the water. Continuing this process, they made the whole bridge and reached the other side of the ocean. Now they are ready to fight Ravana and get back to Sita. This bridge was really miraculous and is still there, indicating the great miracles of Lord Ram.
